The College of Nursing Sciences, Department of Post Basic Nursing, University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), Benin City, is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the 2025/2026 academic session.
Available Specialty Courses
- Critical Care Nursing and Management
- Ophthalmic Nursing and Management
- Perioperative Nursing and Management
- Paediatric Nursing and Management
- Accident and Emergency Nursing and Management (Application fee: N15,000)
- Gerontology Nursing (Application fee: N20,000)
Entry Qualifications
Applicants must:
A. Possess five (5) O’Level credits at not more than two sittings in WAEC/NECO/NABTEB/GCE. The required subjects are:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Biology
- Physics
- Chemistry
B. Be a qualified nurse duly registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
C. Have at least one year of post-registration clinical experience in the relevant specialty area.

Application Process
- Application forms are obtainable online from the UBTH College of Nursing Sciences website: https://conubth.edu.ng
- A non-refundable fee should be paid via the Remita platform to UBTH TSA as selected by the applicant on the portal.
- Applicants must upload their completed application forms and all listed documents online.
Important Dates
- Closing date for submission of completed forms: Friday, 29th August, 2025
- Examination date, time, and venue will be communicated to successful applicants after the screening process.
